Public interest is not their interest, unless they despecialize their nota! See the catch 22 situation in which all life has landed in this beauty of natural diversity of india:

And then dams galore cleared like the one at Mekedatu at Confluence of Arkavathi River and Cauvery River. Note the Cauvery Wildlife Sanctuary at the site:

The elephant corridor gone! And see the box insert below with drinking water supply also gone!

While the highways isolate the left from the right of nature, dams isolate the upstream from the downstream.

Similar will be the predicament at Mekedatu.

So even though the society of specialists, read modern civilization has given the 'green' signal and you have offered free advisory on the goat's leap, step back and think before you jump the gorge and into the Sangama Arkavathi Cauvery..

Even though you may think you have examined all engineering aspects how about risk? Since you are not divinely perfect automata who will take responsibility for your omissions and commissions?

When Sir M. V met MG, MV exhorted to MG:
Industrialise or perish. To which MG quickly replied: Industrialise and perish!

Respect Kurt Godel's set theory and the Gita and do faithfully your Karma:

You have reached the carrying capacity of the earth and your time honoured but half cooked specializations have suicidal leaps of faith in between. This time dame luck will not come to the aid of the wild human and his suicidal economy away from mother earth. Reverdure is thy calling, employing all beings in natural cooperation. Despecialise and bow down to nature which is nudging you into small manageable communities through World Dam Dynamics from pandemic to pandemic.

Time and again the journalists only take the specialists for granted and think they have laid everything on the table on the dangerous presumption that you may go ahead with the Mekedatu or even modern civilization. There is despecialised vision which looks at the suicidal leaps of faith in between the specializations as brought out in Goats's leap or Mekedatu and lays out the consequences that your risk analysis missed completely. See how the modern civilization's specialist oriented media like Deccan Herald or The Hindu or others or the government missed the suicide that Mekedatu project or even Kudankulam(after the Tsunami) is:

In the article Sir MV stands for Sir M. Visveswarayya and MG stands for Mahatma Gandhi.
