Perfect designs are those which allow you to design around the Unknowable. Nuclear programmes, dams and in fact modern civilisation transgress rudely this principle driven by greed. We reap what others sow: The Three Mile Islands, the Chernobyls, the Fukushimas and others on the drawing board. Dams cumulatively by direct heating up of the earth cause earthquakes and tsunamies and climate change. Modern civilization is new to nature and hence suicidal(1).

When I was serving some 5 decades ago I was as grave as the PM in pushing through hydros. Then after I became involved with projects I was told convincingly by a very senior colleague of mine that in an international conference on hydros, how people concerned with our well being held sway and the day belonged to them and that even hardline engineers were convinced that hydros were devastating and totally destructive of nature. The natural balance will be totally destroyed when we divide the river in the natural basin by a dam into something new to nature- dead waters behind the dam- upstream and a bizzare region downwards called the area where riparian rights will have to be fought over – for sufficient water to survive- a dead ecologically and evolutionarily dead area. This my senior colleague said dramatically- the death of ecology and a complete geomorphology of unknowable consequences. It is not just the catastrophic transformation of the 276 MW of dams that is the contribution that is the worry, but the entire World Dam Dynamics suddenly being applied at a location of its choice- a dynamics that applies the entire weight of the world dam contents suddenly at the location, not only this but something much much more which is at the heart of climate change in the dam era—the leverage on the choice location exerted by the entire world dam contents acting through their centre of gravity( latitude 26, longitude 96) resulting in millions of degrees centigrade direct heating up of the earth and a mass movement of something like that created by at least 1000 one megaton hydrogen bombs exploding! Note that the consequences are not only regional as in the case described above but also worldwide in the form of epidemics like the American Flu Pandemic of 1918 and the presently ongoing COVID 19 pandemic- all entirely new to nature brought about by stopping natural evolution in its tracks or snapping of ecological bonds in river ecology of a basin or basins.

Excellent essay on the investigative team-work to be undertaken, giving the various outlines of the investigation. Because they are not divinely perfect automata, there may be omissions and commissions. In risk analysis, there is an allergy among the specialists to take inputs selectively out of many that are published. This is happening in all endeavours and efforts of modern civilization, a society of specialists. In between the specialisations, there would be vast gaps which are only filled by studies based on despecialising one’s vision. For example see

THE KEDARNATH OCCURRENCE OF 15TH JUNE to 17 JUNE 2013 WAS CAUSED BY WORLD DAM DYNAMICS

1. Principal findings of the study

The ongoing powdering of the Himalayas by the full weight of all the water masses behind all the world's dams comes at once on the disaster point! Not only this the mountains are being converted from instant to instant by the changes in worldwide dam content changes into couldrons of dam made- mad, wild, man-made volcanoes to cause projectiles of boulders to flyoff and land in glaciers, rivers and communities. See the ongoing geomorphological changes orders of magnitude more than 1000 one megaton thermonuclear bombs at disaster areas caused by world dam dynamics. Replace the dams by forests of ecological appropriateness. Give full employment to people who will own the benefits of reforestation through cooperatives like Amul.

2. Sequence of events

1.0 The sequence of events was as follows. World dam content changes from instant to instant caused the westerlies and the easterlies to converge on to Uttarakhand through induction of huge temperatures in the Uttarakhand area(Tables 1 &2) including the mountains. This credibly caused a projectile of rock and ice estimated at 4.2 million m^3 to fly off and fall 200m meters(horizontal) away into the Chorabari glacier near the SW bank which got breached(Total fall height: 2742 m)(Figure 1). See Ref 1 and 2 for the havoc caused and evidence supporting projectile landing from great height like water displaced and deep incision at the breach area of the lake. This World Dam Dynamics is caused by the wild man through his modern civilization, a society of specialists. See Table 3 for the simulation of the projectile dynamics as it takes off from Kedar dome and lands on the Chorabari Tal. Note the huge mass flow generated by World Dam Dynamics – of the same order of magnitude as 1000 one megaton thermonuclear bombs.

2.0 3. The projectile dynamics- simulation of a credible occurrence.

Referring to Table 1, col. 6, the World’s dams caused two consecutive earthquakes, the first one at 21:35:07.000Z of magnitude 3.3 at Crete, the second one 231.5 seconds later at 21:39:04.500Z of magnitude 6 MM at Greece. The dam content changes were steep at 0.0785 BCM at the second earthquake compared to 7.017EXP- 06 BCM for the first earthquake. This is a rate of pressure change of some 37 Mount Everests per second. Assuming that all the water moment applied by the world’s dams on the Kedar Dome was converted to heat energy, rock of volume 0.928 m^3 is subjected to a shock input temperature of 1.57E11 K. This causes a cubic metre of the rock to expand by 1.98E18 times in the elapsed time between the two earthquakes of 237.5 seconds. This credibly causes a projectile of estimated dimensions of 150mx400mx70m(Fig1) of 4.2 million M^3 volume

and a mass of 231E8 kg to fly off as a projectile with a launch

velocity of 17.78646691 m/s and a kinetic energy of

3.65394E+12 J. The projectile reaches a height of 12.9 m in 1.62

secs; thereafter it falls for 23.65 secs by 2743 m to hit the

Chorabari glacier at 21:39:28.9Z on 16 June 2013 or 03:09:

28.9Z IST on 17 June 2013. The velocity with which the giant

projectile hits the full to the brim Chorabari Tal

is 232 m/s at an angle to the horizontal at Chorabari Tal of -88.0

degrees. The Kinetic energy with which it hits the Tal is

6.22302E+14 J. The displaced water of Chorabari glacier at the

time of hit is about 4.2 million M^3(The volume of the projectile

hitting the Chorabari glacier). From Ref 1, the peak discharge is

5376 m^3/s. Thus the time to empty the Chorabari glacier and

to breach the moraine dam is from line 16 in Table 3, 13

minutes. The upper estimate of emptying time given in Ref 1 is

10 minutes! Thus the root cause- World Dam Dynamics enables

us to infer what exactly happened after the Chorabari Tal filled

up to the brim on 16 June 2013. Ref 4 says that the flash flood

happened around 3 AM on 17 June 2013 IST while the

earthquake caused by the world’s dams took place at 3:09:4.500

IST. The projectile hit the Chorabari Lake 25.37 seconds later at

03:09:29.870 IST.

4. Conclusions:

To accurately assess the root cause of the Himalayan disasters it

is necessary and sufficient to take into account the phenomenon

of World Dam Dynamics. For details of the phenomenon of

1.0 Background.

1.1 Earthquakes caused by the world’s dams used as proxy to generate data for various disasters.

It has been shown by applying the principles of public interest science(1) that earthquakes are caused by the world’s dams(2,3,4,9). The sum of the world’s dam content changes acts from their centre of gravity, on all points of the earth simultaneously. At some instant at a certain point of the earth, an earthquake caused by the world’s dams occurs at which time the entire water moment caused by the world’s dams is applied at this point. At a short time later, the water moment caused by the world’s dams is again distributed on various points of the earth. These earthquakes are used as proxy to determine the sum of the world’s dam content changes (denoted here by DBCM) which caused an earthquake(5,6). This data is used to generate the parameters of the disaster which occurred at about the time the earthquake occurred. The disaster in many instances may have occurred between two dam caused earthquakes at some point on or in the earth, like a forest fire or a high heat input event or an explosion within a mountain. At the time of the sudden application of the water moment at a certain point of the earth, the earth presents itself as a rigid body around the application of the sudden impulse. Thus the effect of the water moment is felt in the whole envelope.

1.2 Plausibility of The 7^th February 2021 Chamoli Disaster

See the Table 1 for details of a possible way in which the disaster of 7 February 2021 may have happened. An event like this may have triggered the avalanche or worse like throwing a giant rock and ice combination on a projectile trajectory something like what may have occurred at Kedar dome during the Chamoli disaster of June 15-17 2013. The avalanche as well as the projectile throw off may even have occurred.

2.0 The 7 February 2021 explosion was engineered by World Dam Dynamics.

2.1 The step by step occurrence analysis. For some of the input data for this study see (7).

2.1.1 Referring to Table 2, from 4:51:08Z, World dam dynamics caused a series of earthquakes the data for which are used to analyse the occurrence. Considering the enormous forces and bending moments generated from instant to instant by world dam dynamics, the rock+ice projectile is assumed to be thrown off from Ronti peak at 30.375,79.718 at 62.66 degrees to the horizontal at between 4:51:13 to 4:51:21 Z at a velocity of u= 285 m/s. This is one credible scenario. See Table 3.

2.1.3 The horizontal velocity at time of missile projectile take off ucos62.66 deg= 131 m/s. The horizontal distance traveled in 58 seconds is 7600 m from the launch location of the projectile. This distance is selected to fit available data in the cited literature. The vertical velocity at which the projectile hits the ground is 315.5 m/s. The total velocity at which the projectile hits the ground is 341 m/s.

2.1.4 The projectile lands at the Rishiganga river valley at 30deg 26’ 16.91”, 79deg 43’ 47.16” at an angle of -67.4 deg. to the horizontal, some 1100 m before the Rishiganga Hydro Plant which was destroyed by the consequences of the projectile as it hit the Rishiganga River bed.

2.1.5 Energy at take off of projectile(Table 3).

Mass,kg 27*10^6*5500 kg= 1.485E+11 kg.

Energy at take off = 0.5mvtakeoff^2=0.5*1.485E+11*285^2=6.045E+15 J

Energy at which the projectile hits the valley= o.5mvgroundhit^2= KE as missile hits ground=0.5*1.485E+11*341.7^2= 8.67E+15 J.

2.1.6 Mass Flow at 10 m/s flow velocity after the missile hits the Rishiganga river valley.

Mass Flow at velocity of 10 m/s = 1.733E+11 Tons

Tons of earth moved by 1000 one megaton thermonulcear device 1.00E+11

2.1.7 A powerful air blast followed which flattened 0.2 km^2 of forest on the valley slope(Ref 7).

2.1.8 Enormous airborne dust flow followed which prevailed till 5:28 Z from 5:01Z. While this dynamic was at play a number sudden worldwide dam content changes occurred as measured by the earthquakes(Table2). These dam content changes probably alone or together participated in the disaster of 7 Februry 2021 and cannot be ignored in the evolution of the stress surges and the millions of degrees K suddenly applied thermal regimes which caused the tragedy. It is not so much that this disaster altered the water moment stress regime including the thermal stresses but the disaster was caused by the world dam dynamics inducing precisely the breakaway stresses and temperatures which caused the rock+ice slab to fly off as a projectile. My comment: Considering the sudden forces and temperatures created by World Dam Dynamics(Table 2),a credible explanation is that the projectile flew away rather than a stand alone avalanche only occurred after the rock+ ice “detached”.

My comment: It is more likely considering the damages and the character of the changes(see below) that this high frequency signal 58 secs later to be due to the giant projectile(180mx80mx550m weighing 1.485E+11 kg hitting the valley floor some 1100m before the Rishiganga Hydro Project(Table 3).

My comment: This reasons out to a back flow effect of the giant projectile hitting the ground 7600m from the break off point on the Ronti peak north face.

4 My Comment: The hit of the projectile in the Rishiganga valley some 7600m horizontal distance from the break off point on the Ronti peak explains this occurrence(Figure 3). Splash deposits(7) is a credible consequence of the projectile hitting the Rishiganga river

6. My comment: The effects described fit in with the projectile explanation. See Table 3 for the great height(3 km) which the projectile reached before falling and hitting the valley side/river bed from a height of about 5km. Such a ferocity can be explained credibly by the action of World Dam Dynamics(Table 2).

My comment: My Tables 1 to 3 show conclusively that it is World Dam Dynamics that caused the disaster and Plate Tectonics is too weak to cause such effects ever on such instantaneous scales. See Ref 3.
