World Dam Dynamics force weather protection sheds over buildings.

The weather protection shed to overcome the ravages of modern civilization

It compromises load bearing capacity. By how much? If solar panels are acting as the roof how much more?
The weather protection shed is important because of extreme rains occurring in the monsoon which may be more than an order of magnitude than the normal for successive days. The extent of high temperature that Mumbai experienced in July 2005 was a shock input temperature  of  a mean of 54 C more than the 30C Mumbai earth surface temperature every 5.5 minutes! On account of this at 830 AM(IST) on 26 July 2005 Mumbai was hit by a severe storm at high tide resulting in a deluge.
Look at the damage to housing:

From this it is clear that immediate processing of ways of saving our two buildings from such cloud burst and severe storm is called for like the ubiquitous sheds above official buildings like police stations and housing societies that we see around us.
Let us take a look at the extremes of rain that struck Mumbai and Navi Mumbai on 26-27 July 2005:

So at 8:30AM  IST on 26 July 2005, when Mumbai received a shock input temperature of 370 C above the surface temperature of Mumbai of 30C, a severe storm occurred  at high tide and  caused flash flooding by heavy rains which reached 381 mm(order of magnitude above normal) between 1430 and 1730 hrs IST. See Table 1 for the deluge that caused flooding of ground floor and stopped Mumbai.
Such deluges much above daily normal have plagued Mumbai for at least half a century and people with common sense solved the problem by sheds. Even officials and corporators saw the wisdom of construction of a roof above the buildings so buildings could be saved from climate change caused by World dam dynamics. Yes it is the World dam dynamics that are causing the extremes of rain and causing the design basis envelope of buildings in Mumbai and elsewhere to be violated in every monsoon.

But the cooperative housing society bye laws are still terribly and life threateningly out of date and people have to go their own way in saving their buildings with sheds overhead from the savage monsoons made evil by World Dam Dynamics. See PERFECT DESIGNS/Ramaswami Ashok Kumar. If they want our vote the parties must see the reality of collapsing buildings due to dams of the world in this election.

Bamboo structure with tarpaulin may a temporary protection in Mumbai. But for the reason of World Dam Dynamics(WDD), even the permanent shed may be unable to withstand the shock forces and bending moments imposed by WDD.Because of the uncertainty, the precautionary Principle may have to be applied to buildings and the issue subjected to a thorough practical fresh relook. Thus the bye laws may have to be reframed to account for WDD.We may have to look much beyond the permanent metal shed right into the limitations of modern society of specialists who do not recognise the dangers posed by modern civilization and its dams. We are caught between Dammned if we dont have the shed and Dammned if we do!

A ball park estimate for the factor safety for World Dam Dynamics based on 2005 SW Monsoon in Mumbai for granite foundation would be 7 to 15.

This article is a big zero because it ignores my work on dams as the principal cause of many catastrophes befalling the wild man and his industrial revolution. In living in this world by his own will and skill, the stupidest peasant or tribesman is more competent than the most intelligent worker or technician or intellectual in a society of specialists- Wendell Berry In the Unsettling of America- Culture and Agriculture.
