1.  The authors may share the exact numbers of each species for all the species enumerated  in the study area during the period of data collection along with the date on which enumeration was done. This will help determine the number of threatened species and their IUCN  rank. Some species are common, others are less common and many are rare, may be a couple of plants only in the area for the rare ones.  So this data will be a ready reckoner to monitor the species diversity from time to time. Note that Parbati III is working even though Parbati II is under construction.

2. The authors have an assessment of the nallas drying up and this is critical for the ecology of the region. Also the impact on the communities in the region by depriving them of the natural commons wealth by identifying the species scarcity affecting the people is very useful for further work.

3. An assessment of the fundamental physiological services rendered by the plants and the fauna and their interconnections is needed and compared with that provided by the projects.

4. An impact study of the world’s dams on the projects shows that the root cause of the regular tunnel collapses in the area and elsewhere is the dynamics of the world’s dams in tune with the hydrological cycle.  

5.  The altering of the ecology of the world’s regions by dams.  Dams divide the area into upstream and downstream areas and inflict on the area suddenly changing water regimes from instant to instant.  Feeder tunnels stop the natural regime in its tracks. This ubiquitous man-made changes to nature disturbs the species balance- both fauna and flora and exposes the human beings to pandemics like the present COVID19. An audit for example of the Kullu tunnel collapse area shows that the power flow through the forest area of Himachal Pradesh far exceeds(ball park estimate: an order of magnitude more) the power generated by the  hydroelectric plants. The multi natural input multi natural output nature is infinitely superior in meeting man’s needs for a long long time by automatic reproduction into evolved forms(Table 1a).

6. The exercise of providing the world demand of water for power and other demands by reservoirs by damming rivers and tunneling off the water from tributaries is causing climate change by direct heating up of the earth causing earthquakes, cyclones, flash floods, cloud bursts, avalanches and is now actively engaged in the flattening of the Himalayas(Witness just this year’s Chamoli disasters, the tunnel collapses in the Himalayas, avalanches, extreme rains and droughts, forest fires, buildings and cars ablaze, ships catching fire, nuclear disasters from Chernobyl to Kashiwasaki Kariwa,Fukushima and even Narora).

The Parbati Hydro Projets have the potential for permanently  unstoppable geomorphic changes

The amount of Himalayan Rock that could be potentially moved by dam content changes like just this one exceeds by three orders of magnitude the geomorphic mass that could be moved by 1000 one megaton thermonuclear bombs(1). Further, such hydro projects may possess capacity for instantaneous geomorphic change concentrated in specific places, a frightening aspect of human geomorphic potential and the proliferation of such projects should be avoided at all costs. The total movement of earth material by this process is roughly equivalent to the total combined movement of material by mining, agricultural, road building, and other human activities each year. An estimated 3.8×109 tons of material are moved by mining each year in the US alone (Hooke, 1994; see Chapter 13.6).(1). However, many nuclear devices and/or   the combined effect of the world’s dams could disrupt geomorphic systems in ways that could initiate on-going geomorphic changes. Thus the effect of the world’s dams, and destabilization of vegetation and ground cover, could initiate catastrophic geomorphic responses beyond the work of the initial explosions. Study Table 1 which is self explanatory. Exactly at the time of the earthquake on 21-05-2021 at 12hrs UTC the tunnel collapse commenced. Lives were lost.

When we study the above link we can see the way to save us all from this scourge by being in harmony with nature.

We have a shortage of brains being used! As we have shortage of vaccines, or no vaccines suitable for all, no doctors and workers in hospitals, beds short and no facilities at all, no ventilators, no oxygen available, no adequate tests! Short we are on knowledge as well. Deliberate flouting of norms as well!

It is stated that the sudden burst of cases is a dangerous trend. This trend is rigidly determined primarily by a burst of demand for water appearing as a burst of dam content changes resulting in a burst of strong to major to great earthquakes. For example the sudden burst of the second wave of infections of the PANDAMIC began with a great 8.1 magnitude earthquake on the 4th of March 2021. 

In this PANDAMIC  situation whose driver is the world's dams, I suggest that we reach one and all not yet reached- that is, the India which is not yet affected by the pandamic to be given the medicine which has been effective with the specialists unable to explain its preventive and curative properties- it is best to  imitate nature beyond understanding! Abstract

The cause of the Chamoli and Yarung Tsangpo avalanches and of the COVID 19 pandamic waves is  World Dam Dynamics(1-4,8). A way out of the shortcomings of the vaccine truce being bought with nature is suggested. Supplementing the mitigation of the effects of modern civilization by analogous reforestation and application of the knowledge base of successful experiential wisdom gained by application of public interest science as in homeopathic system is proposed for the emergency way forward. This may be democratically considered and implemented urgently seeing the utter mess in which the all eggs in one basket approach of experimental vaccination and utter failure in its timely implementation in the wide world with irreversible collateral damage to the way we are living in this society of specialists.

1. A despecialised discussion of modern civilisation’s self-destruction by dams.

1.1 Both the mass murderers- The Chamoli landslide- glacier breakaway(Uttarkhand) and the Yarlung Tsangpo landslide(Tibet) had a common cause: World Dam Dynamics. The Chamoli disaster was preceded by a 6.5 MM magnitude earthquake on 7 February 2021 and the Tsangpo blockage by a 7 MM magnitude earthquake on 20 March 2021(both quakes caused by the world’s dams). Note that the March 2021  surge in COVID 19 pandamic infection’s  daily cases and deaths and those following were, are and will be also due to World dam dynamics, being preceded by several major earthquakes(>= 7 MM moment magnitude) and one great earthquake of 8.1 MM moment magnitude which occurred on 4 March 2021. IT DOES NOT MATTER WHERE THE EARTHQUAKES OCCURRED (Pl see: Note carefully and discuss this issue  via public interest science not the vested interest science which makes assumptions they choose to get at the conclusions they want) since all these are due to the World dam content changes acting at the center of gravity of the World dam contents)(Ref 2,3,4).

1.3 In just 2 minutes 35 seconds from earthquake 1 to earthquake 2, the Centre of Gravity of the World’s Dams at Lat 24.96423, Long 98.79828 experienced a change in World’s Total  Lake Contents  from a change of 0.0033 BCM(billion cubic meters) to a change of  74.712 BCM, a water pressure rate of change in 155 seconds from 3300 km water column height to 74.712 million km water column height! This is a water demand of 7.86 fold Sardar Sarovar’s total storage capacity in 155 seconds or 3 times the total storage of Sardar Sarovar lake per minute. This is a rate of change of pressure build up at the Centre of Gravity of the World’s Dams at  54471 times the height of Mount Everest of 8.846 Km AMSL. You see the rate of change of ecology upstream as well as downstream of the World’s dams, the glistening waters oscillated at this rate on 4 March 2021!  The reaction is COVID 19 viruses and their variants and a host of other evolutionary disturbances at this magnitude of water level changes every second! Can you work out dear reader the changes which brought about the avalanches on 7 February 2021 with a 6.5 MM quake (Chamoli glacier  break) and the Yarlung Tsangpo break with a 7 MM earthquake?

1.8 The different elevations shown in the  pictures of the Tapovan glacier area, 2978m(At about the Nanda Devi glacier: Trishul Peak?) and 2055m to 1800 m at  Tapovan Hydroelectric Plant of NTPC  means that the glacier broke away and the avalanche happened because of a shock input temperature at about the Nanda Devi glacier  of 4.9 Million deg Kelvin and a 1s shock  displacement of 2.4 km by a sudden dam content increase of .269 BCM at the time a 6.3 MM earthquake took place at Guyana at 545 hrsZ on 7 Feb2021.Actually at 5:14 hZ as the dynamic  quake surge moved from Tarapaca Chile to Guyana from 514 to 545 it met Nanda Devi Glacier/Reni glacier during this period of movement of the dam surge between 515hZ to  535hZ to cause the catastrophic avalanche and  glacier break. The World's dam contents changed by 269 Million Cubic meters in a matter of seconds at 1045 IST on 7 Feb 2021,causing a downwards suddenly applied force of 2.64 trillion Newtons at the mountain rocks above the glacier near Tapovan  dam situated some 900m below the glacier. The above discussion on dams show the direction  which India and others are taking regardless of the imminent significant possibility of the human being, a junior partner of nature being relegated to the fossil records by nature. It is time to heed the dire signals from nature. The World’s dams are attacking Himalayas and other mountain ranges themselves and shaving them off the planet!  Take note and create diverse communities to reforest mother earth and to enjoy living energy including the standing people, the plants. Use water from the dams and involve public interest science to regenerate the forests as a millennium set of very large number of infinitely diverse biospheres. The various peaceful actions by the peoples to bring back health to the planet is about to expand and encompass the entire planet. A prelude is the way nature is forcing the wild man to behave by shutting down his jobless nature destroying suicidal path. But the only feeble Moorkhapaddhati displayed by the wild men is even now the half-hearted effort to buy a truce with the earth by half baked vaccines to prick off all the human beings!

There is a better way to buy the truce with nature: Harmonise with her!  Imitate nature beyond understanding. The Ministry of Ayush has implemented in a democratic way the various systems of medicine which people have benefitted from their practice in India and elsewhere. In my work

Earthquakes used as proxy for measuring dam content changes corresponding to the COVID19 cases

World dam dynamics is driving the COVID19 pandemic(1). The table below shows the cases and deaths as predicted by World Dam Dynamics as on November 30 2020 and the actuals. This shows that there is widespread community transmission compared to the primary infections due to World Dam Dynamics:

The vested interest scientists wonder how the dams are driving the COVID19 pandemic. I have written open letters to the Union Health Minister as well as Shri Rajiv Kumar of Niti Aayog regarding this matter so that the government may issue a clarification why the preventive and curative homeopathic medicine(details below in the letter to Niti Aayog) is also not adopted probably effectively without the need for COVID19 vaccines suitable for the glacial age:

The environment also includes people whose right is to have jobs! Modern civilization, a society of specialists profiteers at the cost of all life! It is profitable to separate out generating employment and protecting our environment and in the process create jobless growth and destruction of the environment so that life cannot breathe. So the various specialisations created long unverified chains of production and consumption without ever thinking about the wastes so created so they could not even be returned to the earth, in a way acceptable to her. However, none of the nations ever departed from the path of modern civilization whose starting point is that the earth consists of separate elements which must be mined to create an infinitely inferior economy of separate contraptions.  Compare this to nature’s  zero cost gross natural produce by reproduction, through the extra-terrestrial source called the sun, based on truth or public interest science. The mechanism is to produce and use where it is required, when it is required, through the enjoyable use of the sun through living energy, returning what has been taken without ever creating wastes, with all-inclusive participation of diverse but rigidly interconnected biota and abiota including the human species!  Nature including the humans has made this a successful though inscrutable feat through evolution. Imitate nature beyond understanding!

This blind unquestioning surge into modern civilization by industrial revolution based on vested interest science was given a stiff warning in 1908 by Mahatma Gandhi in his 1908 thesis which appeared in his book Hind Swaraj. And of course there is the timeless authorless warning in the Bhagavadgita. It did not stop at M.K. Gandhi. There is Kurt Goedel and his thesis on sets:

Suppose a great lot of sets exist of mutually exclusive ways in which the separate sets of modern civilization’s infrastructure and contraptions and nature (man is a part) interact resulting in unacceptable danger to the public and other life. Designing modern civilization’s contraptions based on vested interest science will externalize unprofitable inconvenient but recognized omnicidal  dangers. Even if all these sets are factored into the design,  it follows from Goedel(4) that there will be also be a set containing exactly one member from each set which may, by the precautionary principle, also be unacceptably unsafe. This was and is and will be ignored by the designers within the specialist frameworks of modern civilization.  Thus as time goes on we can never be clear of the sets and the one more set, then one more set and so on. When such sets are infinite in number, the Gita has a piece of guidance to offer: There is true knowledge, learn thou it is this: To see one changeless life in all the lives, in the separate, the inseparable. Thus all the elements of modern civilization are rigidly interconnected with nature and you can see that the safety problem  is just too difficult to solve, with the cumulative effects of modern civilization already leading us to extinction. Mahatma Gandhi quickly and perspicaciously saw through the fraud of modern civilization and remarked in 1908: Given enough time modern civilization will destroy itself leading to extinction of the  species.  But ever more of the same are being craved for greedily knowing full well the Moorkhapaddhati, the suicidal omnicidal path being taken by the unsuspecting supporters of modern civilization, a society of specialists. This is the gist of the consequences of the process enunciated as policies by niti aayog cited above. Note that until implemented and in use for an uncertain period, one cannot decide whether living beings and abiota will be secure in modern civilization. But now during these centuries of modern civilization, it has become abundantly clear that it is really biological, radiological, chemical and engineered deadly warfare that has resulted in unbreathable situation that all life finds itself in(5).

Thus we see the consequences of modern civilization: The interaction of modern civilization and nature caused new Goedelian sets which  have led to the COVID19 pandemic driven by the world’s dams, the Pandamic. The cases are going up and up and the primary cases are caused by one of the mainstays of modern civilization, the dams(1). We are in the middle of the on-going man-made novel pandemic. Modern civilization as usual will only treat the symptoms and then try to buy truce via a  vaccine, if it can somehow, by application of vested interest science, aided by some luck be invented. After all the American Flu Pandemic of 1918, also caused by dams  has seen the development of Anti-flu tablets of Homeopathic system of medicine which successfully saw a dramatic reduction of kills by the flu pandemic, not the flushot which probably  is a profiteering weakening process of vested interest science.

“The Violations clause of the Notification is perhaps the most contentious clause. To clarify, a project is deemed to be in violation if it has been set up, or has undergone expansion, without obtaining the required Environmental Clearance (EC)….”

The financial burden on the violator shall comprise the burden of a remediation plan, and a resource augmentation plan that is double of ecological damage assessed and economic benefits derived. In addition, a fine for every day of continued violation shall be applicable. All clubbed together, financial penalties provided by the Notification can be significantly more stringent than those provided under Section 15 of EPA 1986.”

“This government is fully committed to resolutely protect our environment while promoting growth and employment generation for our young population. This balance has been often overlooked by ideologists of different persuasions. We cannot afford this any longer.”

The clearing caused by violations cannot be undone with any amount of financial penalties. The ecological and environmental damage caused to the relicts of climax forests is irreversible. The deforestation and  destruction of ecology by killing rivers by dams is totally unacceptable.  To compensate this with the secondary successions that will probably be undertaken after the irreversible killing of the great biodiversity is infinitely inferior. Just because you can only mine where the resource is available is specialist vested interest rhetoric meaningless and devoid of any tangible restoration. Leave the relicts alone. Abandon the project which is an irreversible killer. Period.

There is another aspect of this modern civilization which is ecologically dangerously robbing away jobs uselessly. Not only is the environment irreversibly damaged and the ecology and biodiversity killed off in  positive feedback loops, but human life is taken away with infant mortality greater than birth rate by technologies such as nuclear power programmes and biotech applications to food like brinjal.  By becoming a net consumer of energy in the forseeable future, modern civilization is destroying jobs at the rate of 40 W/human. A single nuclear reactor of 1000 MW capacity supplying mills takes away the jobs of 100 million weaver-families.  In addition, for the sacrifice, society bears the burden of taking care of its radionuclide and uranium mining and milling wastes for 10000 reactor years of operation of the 1000 MW fission reactor for a million years by supplying 5-6 million MW-yrs of electricity. This is the energy supplied by the nuclear reactor for 10000 reactor years of operation. Note that the stated  nuclear wastes require a hundred million years more of care with additional energy and resource inputs for isolation from the ecosphere! Note that the uranium mining and milling wastes are devastating the ecology and environment of the mining region. The extra energy presently is supplied by a thermal, nuclear, hydro mix. The dams are complicit in causing 1)COVID19 pandemic,killing almost a million people so far,2) earthquakes and nuclear reactor damages like in Kashiwasaki Kariwa, Fukushima including pollution of the Pacific ocean, Kakrapar, Narora and climate change by direct heating up of the earth(5).

Niti Aayog should plan to abandon modern civilization recognizing its rapidly spreading omnicidal nature. Simultaneously it should plan an emergency law to create millions of jobs in millions of cooperatives managed by the people in a plan of demolishing dams and ecological  reforestation so that gross nature product matches the nation’s requirements.It should plan to implement  an appropriate  cycle in harmony with nature of production, consumption and RETURN with due input of enormous local talent available waiting to be harnessed harmoniously with nature to bring back conditions causing the genesis and support of living beings based on public interest science- on true knowledge. The world leaders must ratify a Global and local Ecology Act that must be adopted unanimously by the UN General Assembly, so as to ensure survival of all life(6).   The finances must come through a mechanism to abandon useless suicidal actions of modern civilization like nuclear energy (7).

India's policies would immensely benefit life at large by application of public interest science to tackle the COVID19 pandemic. The perfect vaccine may be immediately available for application to the public at large.
